Date: 12-08-07 Location: Pasadena Apartment First Investigation of Location Case Status: Case Closed Client Reports: Activity began in 2003 when living in Hawaii – a strong, unexplained wind blew magnets off refrigerator; doors would open and close; during a fight between husband and wife, husband went to room and locked door – wife told him to unlock the door and it unlocked and opened on its own with husband still laying in the bed unmoved. Clients believe the spirit of a little girl is following them and communicating with their oldest daughter (born in 2002). Pasadena – when company was visiting they heard a loud “scooting” sound come from upstairs; client went to look and found the visitors luggage moved to the hallway. Husband’s sister saw an apparition of a little girl in the home. The oldest daughter has been seen appearing to play with someone who is not there and client saw a toy move back and forth to the daughter. Oldest daughter began having night terrors at the age of one (while in Hawaii) which got worse at age two when they moved to TX. The daughter will have fits where she pulls her hair and scratches herself while appearing to be in a trance like state. Husband has heard children crying when no children were present. Oldest daughter will use vocabulary and terms that are not usual for her. Daughter awoke crying for her mother one night, but when the mother came into the room and held her saying “it’s okay, Mommy is here now” the child looked up at her and said “you’re not my Mommy.” Daughter has spoken of a “hot boy” who is mad at the client because she was there and his mommy was not and he says that if she (client) was gone his mommy could come back. Things have been thrown across home. Singing and crying heard with no explanation. Daughter has claimed the little girl ghost is named Rosa. The husband lost his keys on the first day of his new job and as they searched for them the daughter kept saying that “she took them”, meaning the ghost. They went upstairs to search daughter’s room and when they came back down they found the keys on the banister where they had already searched earlier. The daughter said, “I told you she was back and she moved them.” Then she looked over her should as if someone was standing there and said “sorry, sorry” and went to her playroom refusing to talk about it. Client says daughter does this a lot, seeming to talk to the ghost then feel guilty about it and won’t talk anymore. The shower has turned on by itself which has been witnessed by others. The dishwasher and lights do the same. The daughters are too afraid to go to their room upstairs. Activity seems to happen no matter who is there or who isn’t, but seems to escalate when husband is in bad mood. Daughter drew a picture of her dad with scribbles all around him that she labeled as being the “angry people who follow Daddy.” Pictures of husband have had anomalies in them. Waxahachie, TX – Client would feel something pull and grab her feet at night in bed. Husband once saw an entity in their bedroom. He awoke to a noise and saw a guy standing in their room. He described him as being dark and boney, having no skin. He could see his muscle structure and he had no face. He said it was not a good feeling and finally he shouted for it to leave and it did. He said it became very angry and stated that He (husband) had called him there. Husband also said that the daughter spoke of a “fiery man” with a knife in one hand and a bag with a head in it in the other hand…she was 3 at the time. Husband has had dreams that give him a sense of déjà vu. Client’s Mom (wife) has a history of prophetic dreams. Equipment Used: 2 Sperry EMF meters; KII meter; 2 handy cam camcorders with night shot; 4 digital audio recorders; tripods; 4 digital cameras; 1 temperature gauge; walkie talkies. Investigation: Upon arriving at the residence we were immediately thrown off by the fact that the children were home (had been arranged to stay with family). This being a very small apartment, we were unsure of how this may affect our investigation. Also, the first thing we saw upon entering the apartment was a gun sitting on the computer desk. During set-up, friends of the clients began to show up which concerned us further. The client assured us she did not know they were coming over; however, she did not ask them to leave either. After the friends and husband began to blast an electric guitar in one room and a playstation in the other, along with loud laughter and talking, we informed the client that our investigation would be contaminated and any audio would have to be thrown out due to all the noise. She stated she understood and would try to keep it down. We agreed to continue on with the investigation at the client’s request with her fully informed of the threat of contamination. Due to the fact that the children were home, and with the friends visiting there being a total number of 8 or 9 people in the small apartment, our investigation was confined to the upstairs containing the girl’s bedroom, the parent’s bedroom, and a small bathroom. We set a camcorder covering the girl’s bedroom and the other in the parent’s bedroom covering that room, the hallway, and into the girl’s room. Due to the small size and confined space, we could only send in one team of two investigators at a time. The rest of the team was stationed outside interviewing the family further and trying to contain the noise level and contamination. Base line readings with our EMF meters did not detect any abnormal or high readings throughout the home with the exception of an alarm clock in the parent’s bedroom. While in the girl’s bedroom, investigators noticed what sounded like a knocking sound, but traced the source of the noise to water dripping into a plastic container in the bathroom. Two investigators (during different sweeps and not working together) noticed feeling dizzy and light headed in the girl’s room. One felt as if he was swaying back and forth, giving him a feeling of dizziness and nausea. Another investigator reported becoming ill while sitting on the floor of the girl’s room by the balcony. She reported feeling as though her insides were being pulled through the floor and sat there until she was so ill she felt she may have to leave residence. As soon as she moved to opposite side of the room, she felt fine. Her fellow investigator immediately moved to the side of the room she had just left but sat next to the closet rather than the balcony door and felt fine. He did; however, encounter an energy field that he could feel with his hands which made the hairs on his arms stand up. Very soon after, the K2 meter shot up to the red zone. Previous emf sweeps in this area did not detect any emf spikes in the region of this occurrence. At this time, some unknown energy field began to affect the K2 on a low level and appeared to be interacting upon request. The investigators then realized this event was happening just out of camera range and relocated the K2 where the activity continued to occur. The highest spike witnessed during the event was in the orange range (10-20 mgauss). Findings: As expected, most of our data was contaminated due to interference from the visitors. No audio was usable, although review found nothing out of the ordinary. Nothing was captured on digital cameras. Our camcorders did record the K2 spike. Also, the camcorder stationed in the parent’s room experienced a loud knock, as if someone or something hit it during the investigation. This occurred during break time when the team was not in the home and recording shows no one coming or going in or around that time. Recordings also showed that no one other than our team was upstairs at any time during the investigation. Overall, SPI does not believe this residence to be haunted. Upon interviews with family and friends, and review of evidence, it is our opinion that the oldest daughter may have mediumistic abilities and the family should receive help and advice on how to raise such a gifted child. SPI provided the family with information on children with such gifts, as well as the name and number of a respected medium in the area who has agreed to offer the family any help, advice, and information along the way in raising a child with abilities. | ||
